Welcome to the IWCC/CCLI
The Irish Wolfhound Club of Canada (IWCC/CCLI) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the protection and advancement of the Irish Wolfhound breed. It is the only official Irish Wolfhound Club registered with, and recognized by, the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC). It is part of a vast community of clubs around the world, all dedicated to the protection and preservation of the breed. The IWCC is an associate member of the Federation of Irish Wolfhound Clubs (FIWC) and participates in the World Congress held every two years in Europe. The IWCC supports the organizations dedicated to the breed such as the Irish Wolfhound Data Base (iwdb.org) and the Irish Wolfhound Foundation (IWF) that funds medical research involving the IW.
Our membership includes people of all ages, and all walks of life including Wolfhound owners, Breeders, those planning to add a hound to their families in the future, and admirers of this beautiful, regal and gentle dog. All members sign a Code of Ethics which sets out essential rules and practices to preserve and protect the welfare of the Irish Wolfhound in Canada.
Club membership provides the opportunity to meet others who share the love of the breed, to learn about the pros and cons of owning an Irish Wolfhound and to locate a Reputable Breeder and puppies that are available in your area. You can participate in educational, social and performance activities held by the National Club and Area Branches. It provides rescue and re-homing services for Irish Wolfhounds in need which often requires a “village” of volunteers.

The IWCC offers newcomers a complimentary membership. For the year in progress, new members will be exempt from paying membership fees for the remainder of that calendar year. Please click on the link “Join”
