First of all I want to thank you all for my first invitation to judge. It was a great honour and I enjoyed every second in the ring despite the rainy weather. A very special thank you to Sandi and Kerry, my ring stewards, for guiding me through the show. Thank you to all exhibitors who showed under me. It was a great pleasure and fun! I am totally overwhelmed by the hospitality at the showground and this very well-organized show. A great memory are the many presents I got.

12-month-old red wheaten bitch, lovely head with gentle expression, dark eyes, half rosed ears, strong neck, good length of body, not totally stable in front and slightly toeing in. Today she was impressed with the surroundings, she needs time to grow into her body.

I would like to thank the Committee for the invitation to judge the show and all exhibitors for giving me the opportunity to judge your beautiful Wolfhounds. This was my first time judging overseas and I feel very honoured to judge this important, perfect organized show in your beautiful Country!

Despite the ‚slightly wet weather‘ I was deeply impressed about the fantastic prepared event on a most beautiful showground near the Fraser River. Such a calm, friendly atmosphere and what a warm welcome from Fran Briscoe and my ring stewards Sandi and Kerry thank you, ladies!

Another big thank you to the show photographer Carol Peterson and Jim Bradbury – this photographs will treasured and great reminder for the wonderful experience in Canada!

Last but not least thank you to Patti O’Malley and Kris Falkins for your walm welcome in your cosy home during our whole time in Mission, BC.

My overall impression of the hounds was very pleasing, the majority are well balanced, strong

Wolfhounds in excellent condition. I saw a lot of typical, long and level heads with dark eyes and wide underjaws. Most oft he hounds where perfectly handled on a loose leash and moved very balanced with an easy gait – I was very pleased about this detail!

1st BERRYBRIAR TRIBUTE TO THE PAST OF CNOCCARNE

Nearly 9 years old dark brindle, impressive dog in excellent condition. This Veteran has commanding appearance in a huge frame with a proudly carried, masculine head. Dark eyes with gentle

expression, small rosed ears. Long and strong neck which went cleanly into a well constructed front assembly with correct angulations and long, strong bones. He has a deep chest and a well muscled topline. Excellent angulated hindquarters with good width, low set hocks. This Veteran is still able to stand and move with grace and power. A credit to both breeder and owner! Best Veteran, well

expression with darkest eyes and correct bite. Small, correct folded ears. A strong, well balanced

Veteran in front and rear with a long tail, deep chested, strong boned and correct shaped feet. Moved sound, but I wished to see a little more enthusiasm. A lovely, strong veteran.

1st AUGUST GLOWING EMBER

Nearly 9 year old, brindle Veteran with a classic head, dark eyes and soft expression. Long, strong neck flows smoothly into her correct front assembly with good forechest and return of upper arm.

Nice tuck up. This Veteran presents a pleasing, strong outline and is still moving soundly and graceful, kept her shape in motion. A lovely Veteran and a credit to her owners!

Nearly 12 month old, tall and leggy youngster. What a sweet character with darkest eyes and soft

expression. Actually he is in an age where he is standing rather straight at both ends and in pasterns, wished to see more length of body. This Youngster needs time to drop into his curves and width

overall. He moved with enthusiasm and a well carried tail. I would like to see him again when he is full developed. Lovely temperament.

2 years, grey brindle impressive boy, balanced in front and rear, stands over plenty of ground. Typical head with lovely proportions, strong underjaw, dark eyes with soft expression, small rosed ears.

Strong neck flowing smoothly into his correct shoulder. Balanced and well muscled in front and rear with great width accross his thights. Powerful on the move with long stride and strong topline, but his tail needs to calm down.

2nd CNOCCARNE BENCORRAGH

3 year old, workman like, brindle male. Well muscled, high on strong legs, prefer to see him larger in frame. Lovely head with soft expression. Strong neck, balanced in front and rear, perfect closed and good cushioned feet, typical crispy coat. He moves easy and active, but his outline was a little bit

spoilt by his tail carriage. Anyway a well presented, very handsome boy.

3 year old, impressive, brindle male. He stands over plenty of ground, but I would prefer more length of forearm. Masculine, medium long head and muzzle, strong level-bite, rather flat ears. Strong,

crested neck, balanced angulated in front and rear, but a dippy back both in stand and motion. He moves with a long stride. A handsome character.

1st CNOCCARNE BERRYBRIAR DAIRAGH

6,5 old, dark brindle, impressive, old fashioned type, high on strong and straight legs and well muscled. He has an excellent crispy coat, a long head and muzzle, the darkest eyes and lovely foldet ears. Dark pigmentation. Balanced in front and rear with a strong neck and topline, well ribbed back. He stands and moves with grace and power and a correct tail carriage. Another workmanlike hound, very well presented today. Winners Dog

Nearly 7 month old, beautiful red-wheaten puppy, still a little bit unsure about the show atmosphere. Feminine head, dark pigmentation, correct dentition, nice folded ears. Well muscled, long tail, correct on feet and already very balanced in front and rear. Typical puppy coat, well cushioned feet.

Juvenile (12-15 month) – Female

2nd WINDSEEKER FROST

12 month old, medium sized of good breed-type. Feminine head, brown eyes, correct ears. Strong neck, good front assembly with nicely bent pasterns, well ribbed back, well muscled rear. I would prefer more lenth of forearm. This promising youngster needs more training to become more cooperative with her handler, I would like to see her again in the future.

12 month old, red-wheaten bitch with dark pigmentation. Beautiful long head and long muzzle, soft expression. Ears correct carried. Nicely balanced in front and rear, longer on legs.
